Each year since 1947, industrial companies have gathered at Germany’s Hannover Fairground to see the latest innovations in manufacturing technology. After two years of disruption from the pandemic, we’re excited to once again join the world’s manufacturing leaders from May 30 through June 2.
The theme of this year’s event is “Digitalization and Sustainability” and Sight Machine will be exhibiting within the booth of our partner Microsoft in Hall 4. We’ll be showcasing how manufacturers can unlock their production data to enhance productivity and transform into more agile and truly digital organizations.
Join Us at Hannover Messe
- Visit the booth (Hall 4, stand E34): See the latest innovations featuring product demos, videos, resources, and conversations with industry experts.
- Request one-on-one meetings: Meet with senior leaders and industry experts ready to strategize, share insights & best practices and answer all your questions. You can also request a scheduled meeting time to visit us (Showcase 12) at the booth.
- Visit our virtual Hannover Messe booth to learn more about how we’re partnering with Microsoft to make manufacturing stronger, resilient, and sustainable.
We’re especially excited to head to Germany because Sight Machine has been a key technology contributor to Microsoft Germany’s “Microsoft in Manufacturing” initiative offering a set of 10 reliable and scalable solutions for the most important tasks in the manufacturing industry. These solutions can be used immediately, requiring only low initial investments and leading to a fast return on investment. Sight Machine has been working with Microsoft to bring similar quick-turnaround solutions to manufacturers around the globe.
For example, Sight Machine and Microsoft are working together on an Agile Factory project at a large German Mittelstand manufacturer that supplies plastic and glass packaging solutions for medication and drug delivery. The project focuses on a process area with injection molding machines that create thousands of different plastic parts later assembled into finished products. Sight Machine came in to enable the customer to connect to the assets, build a Data Foundation from several quality and machine data sources, and use these to improve manufacturing performance.
Sight Machine delivered an end-to-end manufacturing data platform for the customer, from connectivity to data transformation to analytics, on a range of machine models and types. This enables the customer to perform real-time dashboarding, KPI visualization (including for Overall Equipment Effectiveness, or OEE), root cause analysis, and correlations between machine data and quality testing data, which was previously a challenge. The next phase of the project is to work together to improve OEE by increasing quality and reducing downtime while optimizing the manufacturing footprint by maximizing the utilization of the machine pool. This will also support the customer’s future strategic decisions around machine renewal and selection based on current productivity and demand and production planning.
